I have a confession. I actually know Tupu the rescue dog quite well – I was one of his rescuers in American Samoa where we found him abandoned on the side of the road. But that’s another story for another time. This post is about capturing the love between a woman and her canine companion and their love that glows just as bright as the summer sunsets in the Pacific Northwest!

Lauren and Tupu are seriously relationship goals. True love has to be coordinating your outfit to compliment your dog’s eyes. Lauren and Co. had some amazing style choices. That red dress tho! The sunset was golden and the weather warm. We laughed in the tall grass on the beach and tiptoed our way through the waves. 

Lauren and Tupu have had quite the journey together throughout the years. After being rescued in American Samoa and finding his forever home with Lauren and the rest of the Sutherland Clan, Tupu faced numerous health issues. He has the scars to prove it. Lauren nursed him through thick and thin and while we had to be gentle with him at times due to his condition, I wanted to make sure to find ways to make sure everyone was comfortable, relaxed and happy. Tupu was a perfect gentleman throughout and by the end had a full belly of tasty treats to prove it. Even when we had to pause for him to dig a Very Important Hole in the sand, the moment was so cute and candid that I quickly snapped a few photos to capture the fun.
