Hi there! I’m Kelsey!

Hello!

I’m Kelsey and I’m so glad you’re here! I grew up in a small town near Olympic National Park and the outdoors have always been a huge part of my life. I’ve always loved photography, ever since I took my first photo when I was just a kid. My mom let me use her Olympus SLR camera and I snapped a shot of my parents outside our little, red and white camper in Olympic National Park. It was a bit blurry (I was eight haha), but I was so excited to be behind the camera and took the job very seriously. I think it was telling, maybe some foreshadowing going on there, that the first photo I took was of a couple in love at a national park.

I’ve spent the majority of my life exploring the outdoors, especially national parks, and taking thousands of photos along the way. The outside world and storytelling have guided most of the decisions I’ve made both personally and professionally. I have degrees in journalism and cultural geography and have always found such a sense of wonder and pride in capturing people’s stories.
I love meeting new people and exploring new places. I’m a vagabond at heart. I love using my experience exploring, planning, traveling, and photographing to help couples build and capture their own adventures. So welcome, and I can’t wait to meet you, plan our next adventure, and celebrate your story and all its uniqueness!

A few other things you should know about me:

  • I’m an experienced hiker and love anything outside!
  • My partner and I share a home with two dogs and two cats: a one-eyed husky; a former street dog from American Samoa; and two pint-sized rescue kittens
  • You can find me watching Parks and Rec most days of the week and changing my mind each episode about who my favorite character is (usually it’s a tie between Leslie Knope and Ron Swanson…it’s so hard to decide!)
  • I’m a novice mountain biker slowly making my way around berms
  • I’ve been to 15 countries and counting. Up next? Hopefully the Azores and Sweden!
  • Coffee. Please and thank you (according to Ron Swanson, haha)
